i! are a Scottish electronic music duo consisting of brothers Gary and Derek Robertson. Based between Glasgow and Barcelona, i! produce organic, symptomatic , biomechanical music.
Known for their distinctive musical traits, i! cycle seamlessly between different genres and flirt with industrial, hip-hop, acoustic, glitchcore, IDM and beyond, whilst still managing to retain a distinctive human element to their sound. Preferring to label themselves as mathematicians as opposed to musicians, i! are on a mission to create a sound of their own, but with a reverential nod to what has gone before.
Having self-released a number of successful EPs including My Cat Loves String Theory and Arbitrary Separation Of Personalities, with the former EP unleashing the underground hit "Electronic" to the world. i! signed to Armalyte Industries in 2012, and are currently working on a new album and EP for release in 2013.
