Concrete Lung are an experimental metal project formed in late 2007.
In 2009 Concrete Lung signed to independent label Armalyte Records and released their debut EP Waste of Flesh in February 2010. Incorporating elements of early Pitch Shifter, Ministry and Skinny Puppy. Their debut EP saw the band combine these influences and spitting them back out as lethal shards of dissonance. The Waste of Flesh EP received critically acclaim in the press and on line.
In 2010 Concrete Lung continued with high profile supports with some of the industrial scenes top bands including Funker Vogt, Grendel, Agonoize, and Front Line Assembly. The band also landed a spot at the UK's biggest all industrial festival - Infest.
In 2011 Concrete Lung established themselves with more coruscating live appearances alongside such seminal acts as The Young Gods and Leæther Strip. The band then set out to record a follow up to the Waste of Flesh EP, this time in the form of a full length album Versions of Hell expanding far beyond the sound of their debut EP. The LP was spewed forth in February of 2011 again to great reviews. Rock Sound describing the album as "Grey as fuck - 8/10". The band also secured interviews an write-ups in Zillo Magazine (Germany) and Terrorizer (UK), also featuring on the cover mount CD of the latter.
Armalyte Records together with Soundsphere Magazine join forces to co-promote the Incineratour UK 2011 triple-headline UK tour, featuring Concrete Lung, Je$us Loves Amerika and Digicore. Each band sharing a similar ideological head space and D.I.Y. aesthetic, reflecting the exciting, vibrant diversity of the UK Industrial scene.
The latter end of 2011 has seen Concrete Lung move away from the live scene to work on new material for release in 2012 and beyond. The next releases are said to be in very limited quantities and not available on digital format...
In 2012 Concrete Lung return with two slabs of soul-crushing nihilism. Buoyed by the critical and commercial success that greeted debut album Versions Of Hell, their fight to bring a sense of worth to their art beyond the disposable and anodyne detritus of the digital age has resulted in the next stage in the Lung’s evolution and saw single, Die Dreaming, issued on 7" green marbled vinyl and limited to just 250 hand-numbered copies.
In 2014 Concrete Lung perform live to the masses at Alt-Fest.
