Hailing from Columbia, Perpetual was formed in 2004, the same year they recorded and released their first single called Inner Messiah. After several concerts nationwide the band opened for the Swedish melodic death metal Dark Tranquillity in 2005 in the city Bogotá.
Then they begin to record their first album. In 2006 after several local gigs, the band started a nationwide tour called “True Metal Subversion III” and participates in the "International Festival Altavoz" In March 2007 their first album called Perpetual was releaseed, under the independent label Storm Blaze Entertainment. In May of the same year Perpetual began their South American tour called "Perpetual Dream Tour South America" where they visited seven countries including Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, Uruguay and Chile, with more than 40 concerts across the continent.
In early 2008 Perpetual was selected to participate in the Iron Maiden tribute album The Golden Beast published by EMI Music, where they recorded the song "The Wicker Man" and it had 3000 copies released. In 2009 they were selected to open a show for the Swedish melodic death metal band In Flames.
The band released the It's Fucking Sick (EP) and their full-length album States Of Madness in 2011.
In 2012 Perpetual toured successful across South American, making them one of the most important melodic death metal bands from South America.
In 2013 they returned with their single Stultifera Navis as promotional part of their album Praise of Folly.
2014 sees Perpetual travelling to the United Kingdom where they will make an appearance on the Alt-Fest stage!
