A unique and wholly entertaining solo artist, Whiskey Bob Shaker is a master of bar room blues, ballads and blistering loops. Influences include Tom Waits and Elvis Costello, but the style is very much his own. Chesterfield (UK) based and bringing over 20 years experience, Whiskey Bob works the crowd like a master and always leaves them feeling satisfied.
Debuted as "The Rebel Without Applause" around Ipswich, Suffolk, UK in the late '80s.
Whiskey Bob trained as an actor and graduated in 1992.
He also played percussion with Crouch End funk band Tortoisehead in the mid '90s and has percussed for various projects ever since.
He enjoys playing wherever now and in particular where he can have a pint (or three!).
