Get Involved!

Alt-Fest will trully be the peoples festival, run by the scene and powered by the people. All aspects of the festivals progress, what we are thinking (and why) who we want to book will be here on the site for you to discuss, add your idea's and be involved in the whole process.

We the organizers consider ourselves simply the facilitators and how big, what form the festival ends up taking is entirely down to you. The more support we get the bigger the festival can become....

How Can You Get Involved?

There are many ways you can help us and become part of Alt-Fest. In it's simplest form the support we need is getting the Alt-fest message out to as many people as we can.

1/ 'Like' the Alt-fest Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/altfestestival

We also have a group on Fetlife https://fetlife.com/groups/58983 and a profile on VampireFreaks http://vampirefreaks.com/Alt-Fest

2/ Invite all your friends to 'Like' the page as well. As tedious as this can be if you have lots of facebook friends, it's a REALLY effetive way for the word to spread virally and quickly. With your help we can reach 1000's of new people who may want to get involved or find out about Alt-Fest.

As well as reaching more people being able to show there is a demand for Alt-Fest will be critical for us when we apply for Arts Council Funding and look for private investors.

3/ If you run an Alternative business, shop or website please tell all your customers, maybe via your newsletters about Alt-Fest and/OR get in touch with us on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. about doing banner/advert swaps. Or if you have any other idea's how your shop or business can get involved with Alt-Fest do get in touch.

4/ Soon we'll be using 'Crowd Funding' so that you the very people that will come to Alt-Fest can help us fund the festival. 100% of the funds raised in this way will go directly to support the running of the the festival itself. The more we can raise the bigger the festival can be and the more acts, bands and performers we can book.

Running a major festival is a huge task, mammouth in fact, not only with the bookings themselves but the sheer amount of organization, from portaloos to stage and lighting, security, technicians and crew etc. Also the funds required to book a large and varied line-up significantly add to this cost..... So what are you waiting for get in touch with idea's of how we can reach the Alt masses. Lets see together just how big we can make Alt-Fest!
