ArT DEPT. is the artistic side of ALT-FEST, a new alternative immersive multimedia festival experience.

On the not too distant horizon lies a new type of festival, one fully engrossing the visitor, encompassing multimedia experiences the likes of which alternative festivals in the UK have never seen before. It is a land of loud dark music, theatre, performance, and ART.

ART on the walls. ART on the stage. ART on the ground. ART in rooms ART in boxes ART on people ART in your face ART in your mind...

Providing the word “art” is still holding meaning for you by this point, ALTFEST would like to invite you to help us realise our vision. Join us far down the rabbit hole as we create experiences to delight the senses of our treasured festival goers.

We are looking for people with creative skills and experience in areas such as drawing and painting, sculpture, 3D media, installations, interactive experiences, or a love of working with people for games and workshops. You may already have something you currently exhibit at festivals and events or you may have a brilliant idea you'd love the opportunity to showcase.

You will be rewarded with a ticket to the festival for each of your crew in return for a set amount of hours participation across the week. Depending on your work, the hours may be before or during the festival, or a mixture. Funding may be available dependent on your piece and its requirements.

You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with either a link to your website and online portfolio, a Facebook page or a PDF of your work, and a covering letter detailing your skills, your location, any plans for what you would like to contribute, amount of space needed at the festival for your work, and any extra requirements you may have.

Contributors will be shortlisted over the coming months and communications will be as rich as possible.

If you love art but do not feel you have anything specific to contribute, or if you are a skint dogsbody who would value a free ticket, let us know as we will be looking for some crew to help set up the festival as well.
