Yep! We will be supplying a crèche for the little ones to give you a chance to experience a wider range of enjoyment!

Yes! In short there is a full-size circus big top with regular and multiple showings of the full Circus of Horrors shows as well as a myriad of awesome alt performers from burlesque, gore, body modification and more. Plus shows are family friendly before 9pm and more adult orientated after 9pm. We'll also have fairground rides, installations and workshops, secret woodland walks, children's areas, children's activities and attractions (plenty to keep the little ones happy) and also in our adult zone some naughtier things to get up to well away from the kids! We are pleased to announce our site! Alt-Fest is being held in the beautiful and HUGE grounds of Boughton House, near Kettering, Northamptonshire! This is a 10,000 acre site (yes, 10,000!).

We at Alt-Fest take the security aspect of this festival very seriously! As regular festival goers ourselves we understand the importance in providing a safe, but enjoyable event.

We will be employing a strong level of registered and experienced security personnel that are also competent with dealing with the specific security needs that a festival brings. In addition to this, we will have many other trained staff and wardens on-hand to assist and keep an eye on campsites, offer advice and guidance etc. We will also have secure lockers.

We want everyone to enjoy this festival, and part of this is ensuring that a safe atmosphere is there, so we will have strict rules on behaviour to make the experience of Alt-Fest a great one.

In short, our project management team are very experienced festival providers so you can be assured we will have the staff required with the relevant experience.

We will also be liaising with the police to ensure the numbers of security personnel on site are more than adequate to cover the number of attendees to ensure a safe environment for everyone as well.

With any option you select/buy there is always the option to upgrade and add add-ons on later. Camping is £20 per person so yes you may add this on to a non camping ticket later. Likewise you may add car-parking or any of the glamping (posh camping, yurts etc) options etc afterwards as well if you change your mind.

You can get travel from London to Kettering by train, depending on where in London you are the journey is roughly one hour and a direct journey! The train service is East Midlands Trains, click HERE to view them

Absolutely! All Guide dogs for the hard of seeing and hearing are welcome. The organisers have tried to make Alt-Fest as accessible as possible for everyone.

Sadly not, Malcolm will have to stay at home as we are unable to accept pets. We do accept Guide Dogs for the hard of hearing and seeing though!

Provided you are 18 at the time of the festival and have the I.D. to support it, you will be able to get an Over 18's wristband and will have no issues getting into the age-restricted areas :)

If your child is still 12 when Alt-Fest takes place they will get a free ticket/wristband.

All ages are welcome! Alt-Fest isn't  just for adults. There are areas where families can relax together including a child-friendly camping area that is seperate to the other camping zones. There are even activities for children! Part of Alt-Fest is age restricted though and aimed strictly at adults, so you will need to be 18.

We at Alt-Fest are parents too and fully appreciate the importance of keeping the age-restricted aspect away from the child-friendly zone.

- A Portman Proof of Age Card

- Citizen Card

- Validate UK Card

- ProofGB

- Young Scot

- Full or Provisional photo card driving licence issued by the DVLA

- Valid European driving licence

Yes, you will! Alt-Fest is using a special type of wristband that will not only be colour-coded  but also have an electronic chip inside with the "over 18" status coded onto it. This means you will be free to walk around the age-restricted side of Alt-Fest and not have to worry about being asked for I.D. !

Yes, you are able to smoke in outdoors areas (but not inside tents or marquees). There are also designanted non-smoking areas and smoking won't be permitted within the areas specifically for children.
