Alt-Fest

Once upon a time, there was a little basement flat in the darkest depths of South East London, where the residents would throw some truly legendary parties. One particularly booze-soaked evening, it was suggested that they should really consider starting up a club night to inflict their mind-bogglingly eclectic music tastes and sense of fun upon the rest of London. The idea stuck, and the name was a no-brainer.

Shenanigans is a club night based around diversity. We pride ourselves on playing the widest range of music possible from the alternative subculture, and we do it with a whole lot of enthusiasm. Whether we're dropping some pounding bass, putting on a punk sneer, jigging to folk, head banging like demons or clearing away some seriously gothic cobwebs, you can be sure we're picking tracks to get bodies on the dance floor.

Now into our third year, Shenanigans could be considered to be somewhat of a rising star, having taken the leap from small, unknown venues such as Release and The Amersham Arms in SE London to their current home of Canal 125 in Kings Cross. Our diverse line-up of DJs, from scene veterans to enthusiastic amateurs, contribute to Shenanigans' ongoing success. We strive to provide the best cross-genre alternative experience possible in the friendliest atmosphere we can muster.

Shenanigans is a project very close to our hearts and it has become clear that our guests feel the same way!
