We all know that we have the ability to unite and be people powered.... be that getting Rage Against The Machine to number One or taking online action for a cause close to our hearts.
As an Alternative and totally independent event, powered by the people, crowd led and crowd curated we want to ask you to help us take over Facebook. Together if we all get involved and share posts etc we can do this and fully realise the power we the people have.
I went out last week and asked as many people as I could if they knew about Alt-Fest and despite a heavy flyer and marketing campaign there are still many Alternative people who unbelievably don't know about us! So we want to ask YOU to help us, we want to get the word out and virally reach as MANY people as possible via Facebook. In return apart from a lovely warm feeling for supporting us and our gathering of the tribes we'll be offering up a huge amount of prizes as if you didn't need any encouragement!

This is what's on offer and what you have to do to have a chance of winning.
1/ A Backstage access pass for 2 adults and their children IF coming as a family - This will get you access to press areas and backstage on all stages as well as to the side of stage viewing platform on the main stage a matter of feet a way from all the MAIN-STAGE bands. You'll be able to visit the artist bars, go backstage on all the other stages, meet some bands and more!

HOW TO ENTER
1/ Create your own Facebook Event for Alt-Fest - Creating the event will get you 1 entry into the prize draw, for every 100 people you invite to it you'll get another entry. If you encourage your friends to also share and invite people to your event that will also increase your chances of winning! Please copy and paste the text from our own Facebook Takeover event into your event and add as many personal details as you see fit. Please make sure your Facebook event has a header image as well. 2/ Put one of our TAKEOVER Facebook headers up as your profile header. Edit the header after uploading and make sure it includes our url (http://alt-fest.com) and as much info as you feel your friends will need on Alt-Fest.
3/ Post a Facebook TAKEOVER image OR one of our line-up posters, tagging @alt-Fest in the post, so the information reaches your friends. Dont forget to add some text in your post and please include our website url (http://alt-fest.com) You may do this as many times as you like, each image post gets you in prize drawer entry.
