Right if you're reading this then it's fair to assume that you're a horn throwing metal moshing maniac and as such are going to be expecting a helluva lot of bang and bands for your buck. Well fear not because you'll not be disappointed, you'll be getting three days of some of the best metal bands around from all the major sub genres and we've even set aside a nice big field for you too so if you do get a bit tired and want to watch without flailing around like a mad person then there's going to be more than enough room for you.
Not only that but we've also gone and treated you to a very special stage known in the trade as a Saddlespan. These are a unique stage build in that they allow for approximately 2,500 people to be under the covered span in the unlikely event we get any rain and still allow up to 10,000 people potentially to view the bands outside of the covered roof span. This means you'll be able to mosh without that awkward walk back to your tent looking like an animated clod of mud.
Our headliners this year are a trio of the most powerful and renowned acts around. Friday will see Yorkshire's gothic doom legends Paradise Lost bringing their dark melodies to the Boughton Estate. Satyricon will be attempting to open the gates of hell itself on Saturday with their blackest of black metal and on Sunday the stage will be closed by none other than the notorious Cradle Of Filth. Veteran thrashers Onslaught will be playing alongside new bloods such a Skarlett Riot and The Howling making this a true celebration of heavy music's longevity.
