Upstarts The One Hundred have landed. Hailing from London and formed in late 2012 the band have spent the last year writing, demoing and recording their as yet untitled EP scheduled for release in 2014.
"Some Good new noise coming outta London."
– Ian Camfield, XFM Rock Show
Having extensively played and toured together as members of electro/metalcore band 'Collapse The Control', Jacob Field, Tim Hider and Phil Kneller knew a little something about being a band. More importantly, they knew when something was wrong. It was summer 2012 – The band had just destroyed the Red Bull stage at Hevy Fest. What should have been a joyous occasion was somewhat sombre. The band was over and the guys knew it. It was time for a change. A new breed. A new generation.
The One Hundred arose from the ashes. With a line-up change sorted (new addition Joe Balchin on drums) the writing process began - the band soon realised their new dynamic was something special. Mixing an eclectic combination of crushing guitars and infectious electronica, the band have a unique home-grown approach to song writing which incorporates elements of metal, hip hop, rock and dance. Throw in Jacobs distinctively English rap vocals and you’ve got a band who will have you singing along, punching the air and screaming for more. They are the real deal. They are the new generation.
