Campsite Information

Family camping
For people with children of any age (no-one allowed to camp here without kids). Advantages are: kids can play and make friends; parents don't need to worry about their kids disturbing someone who doesn't have kids; it's unlikely to be rowdy late at night...

Quiet camping
Furthest from the arena, for those that intend to try and get a good night's sleep. Noisy campers will be required to move.

Adult camping
No children (under 16) allowed. For people who don't like kids and don't want to find themselves camping next to them!

Party camping
Prefer to stay up late, play music, socialize and party into the late hours? Then this is the campsite for you!
If you change your mind about where to camp you can move if there is space available! Please ask a steward for assistance, they will be able to let you know if there is space in the campsite you would rather stay in. This only applies to the above campsites though, not the two below.

Disabled Camping
Only for those who have provided proof of disability before the festival.

Glamping
If you have pre-booked a Tipi, Bell Tent, Yurt, Safari tent or a Tangerine Fields pre-erected tent, or you’re in a camper/caravan, you’re in here!

- You must camp only in designated camping zones as directed by stewards.

- Do not camp in fire lanes

- No glass permitted in the campsite or anywhere else onsite

- No Animals – Except guide dogs and Bogie (the 3 legged WONDERDOG!)

- Camping is only permitted if you are in possession of a valid camping ticket (RFID wristband)

- Please use the bins provided

- Smoking is not permitted in enclosed public places – Including electronic cigarettes.

- Children under 16 (15 years old and under) must be accompanied by a paying adult.

- Neither the licencee nor the organisers accept responsibility for personal property brought onto the campsite

- Alt-Fest Ltd and its associated Promoters are unable to accept liability for personal damages, losses or injuries sustained at this event – including damage and losses to property and motor vehicles – if the cause is due to negligence of the ticket holder or the actions of other patrons.

- Strictly no trading allowed on site without the Promoter’s consent.

- Excessive amounts of food, cigarettes and alcohol may be refused entry to the site to prevent re-selling.

- No loud sound systems permitted.

- Campervans and caravans are permitted as long as they are displaying a valid campervan pass.

- Motorhomes are permitted only if you have notified Alt-Fest in advance by email, and are displaying a campervan pass.

- Flags and small gazebos are allowed in the campsites, as long as they are not dangerous or causing a nuisance to other campers. If we run out of space in the campsites, you may be asked to take your gazebo down.

COOKING AND FIRES

- You may bring small gas cooking appliances with max 4.5kg bottle of gas to use by your tent (NOT inside!)

- Solid fuel fires/stoves are not permitted, due to the risk of inappropriate use which may cause fires and/or suffocation.

- No disposable or coal based BBQ by tents – only in the designated BBQ area.

- Personal fires are not permitted in the campsite.

- We will be offering an evening campfire for people to sit around in the campsite hub, managed by the festival.

- There will be a designated barbecue area in the campsite hub. You may bring your own BBQ, and use the facilities to raise it off the ground. There will be a metal coal/ash only bin and the appropriate fire safety equipment. Space in this area will be limited for safety reasons, there will be signs and staff available to provide information.

- The burning of plastics are not permitted anywhere on site. Throwing gas, aerosol or similar canisters or containers on to fires is extremely dangerous and will lead to eviction from site.

- No Chinese Lanterns

- Generators are not permitted to be brought to site by festival attendees

If it is found to contain anything other than water the contents of the unit will be emptied out and the unit may be confiscated.
Some tips to bear in mind for a safer festival experience

- When arriving on site, identify your nearest emergency exits.

- Follow the instructions of Security Personnel, or other officials in the event of a situation.

- Notify a Steward or Official if you see any disruptive behaviour

- Move to where there is more space, should a crowd surge occur

- Ask for help if you need it and help others, especially if someone falls. The people working at the Festival are there to help you. Let them know if something happens. Remain calm. In any event, they will know what to do.

- Stay calm (if you are distressed, ask to be taken to the Welfare Tent)

- If you have any allergies or medical problems, it’s a good idea to tell a friend, and carry a note in your purse/wallet in case the medical team needs to find it.

Children

- Please identify the lost children point on the map, and visit it to register your child. You leave your mobile number and your child gets a wristband with a code so you can be phoned if your child is found! This is not mandatory, just a good idea!

- Also, point out a security guard to them so they know where to go for help if they get lost. They could also go to a bar, and the staff there will notify security.

- It’s a great idea to write your mobile number on a note to put in their pocket, or write directly on their arm.

- We HIGHLY recommend buying ‘ear defenders’ for your children before attending Alt-Fest. These can be easily found on Ebay from as little as £5.99, and attenuate loud noises without blocking all sound.

- Do not leave your children unattended at any time, even in the Children’s areas. There is no place that you can leave your children on site.

- You are responsible for your children’s experience at Alt-Fest. Be aware of the bands that are playing, and that those bands may swear on stage!

Please note there will be searches upon entry into the arena.

Alt-Fest does not condone the following and all persons involved in such acts will be ejected from the festival and into the hands of local authorities.

- Drug use

- Anti-Social Behavior

- Under-age drinking

Welfare Tent
The Welfare Tent location will be clearly sign posted throughout the site and will be open 24 hours providing experienced, caring and confidential help for all kinds of practical and personal problems. Offering general assistance and advice, a messages service and help for distressed / missing people. The Welfare Tent also offers a recovery area for patients from medical and emergency shelter in a Crash tent with camper mats and sleeping bags.

Information Points and Stewards
There will be information points located around the site. All designated information areas will have all up to date information pertaining to the festival.

Lost & Found
Alt-Fest has a lost and found. All property either found or turned in will be handed to the welfare team who will log the items on collection. This will be logged and held until a week after the festival ends, after which time it will be handed over to the Art Dept. to re-appear next year!

Alt-Fest Ticket/Wristband Policy

UK Customers should have their RFID wristbands on when arriving at the festival.
Customers from outside the UK should bring a copy of the ticket purchase confirmation from Clubtickets, and the purchase card (or photocopy) and present it at the Wristband cabin to receive their RFID wristband.
